Conventional machining

Conventional machining is the process of giving objects the required shapes, dimensions and proper surface structure. It includes techniques such as:

Materials that can be processed conventionally include plastics (such as polycarbonate, polyamide or polypropylene), aluminum and brass. Machining is an extremely important part of production - as preparation for further stages of product manufacture.

What is the difference between conventional machining and CNC machining?

In conventional machining, the computer does not replace the human at all stages of the process. What is important is the presence of a specialist who watches over the work of the machine, manually controlling its operation after setting all the parameters needed for machining. The technician is also responsible for placing the workpiece in the machining machine. In CNC machining all these activities are controlled by a computer.

Differences also exist on the measurement plane. Conventional methods require a specialist to measure the material himself and interpret the measurement. A great deal of experience is necessary for the final result to be satisfactory. In our company, we employ experienced operators who make the right measurements even without the aid of computer technology.
